LAST BLAST 2022 Flight & Concours Judging
LAST BLAST 2022 will be a two day judging meet, judging schools, tech session, socializing, teaching, learning and so much more. Having a two day meet gives us more time to enjoy our time together with friends and Corvettes from around the midwest. Registration will open August 1, 2022. Flight Judging
One of the highlights of a judging meet is actually judging of Corvettes! This is a great opportunity for a Corvette owner to learn more about their car and for judges to study and learn from original Corvettes. At the end of the meet, the owner will have a thorough evaluation of their Corvette and an 18 page judging report of their car that they can use to better the car for future judging meets at higher levels.
Concours Judging
NCRS Concours judging is a new and exciting Concours judging program. In Concours we give Corvette owners the opportunity to use their creative abilities to make the Corvette of their dreams become reality in NCRS Judging. All modifications are allowed and encouraged including color changes, engine upgrades or interior swaps. If you have a Corvette that has been modified to suit your lifestyle, Concours is for you!
Sportsman Display
NCRS Sportsman Award is designed to honor and recognize Corvette owners that drive their Corvette to a NCRS Judging meet. Many owners enjoy the getting there without having to worry about going through the judging process at a meet and NCRS Sportsman Award was designed for you. No judging, no cleaning, no stress required! Hop in your Corvette, take the back road and enjoy Corvettes as they were designed for: Driving.
NCRS Judging & Tech Schools
One of the things that separates NCRS from other car clubs is our willingness to teach and share knowledge with fellow enthusiasts. NCRS Nebraska is excited to announce that we will have three judging schools at LAST BLAST 2021 including a presentation on 1953-54 Flint & St. Louis built Corvettes, How to judge original vs. restored Corvettes, and a engine pad & broach marking school describing the process used in Flint & Tonawanda producing both big and small block Chevrolet engines. These are schools you wont want to miss!
Socializing and Enjoying Friendships
Judging Corvettes is fun, but the friendships that are built and rekindled at a NCRS Judging meet is why many of us come back year after year. This year at LAST BLAST 2021 we have several opportunities for friends to socialize with each other away from the rush of the judging field. Our Friday night social hour and dinner is a fun break from judging where we can kick back and catch up with friends from around the midwest while enjoying a meal with each other in a casual setting.
Museum of American Speed Tour - Friday
We begin our weekend with a tour of the world famous Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, NE. This museum is the lifetime collection of "Speedy" Bill Smith of Speedway Motors and it is 150,000 square feet on three floors of all things Automobilia. It truly is a National Treasure and we are blessed to kick off our weekend from 9am - noon on Friday October 15, 2021. Advanced Judging Schools
Another reason for a two day meet is more time for learning. Nebraska Chapter is excited to have NCRS master judges from around the Midwest come and share their knowledge with members eager to learn. In 2022 we will have several 4 Star Bowtie Corvettes on display and these are a fantastic learning opportunity for examining originality and learning how the cars left the Chevrolet assembly line.
Observer Judging
One of the great things about having a two day judging meet is that we have more time for teaching and learning. When judging just on Saturday morning from 9-12, it is a rush to get everything done and there is no time to spend working with junior judges. At Nebraska Last Blast 2022, we will judge cars over two days which gives us more time to have senior judges work with junior judges, explaining how the process works. This gives people more understanding and confidence to want to participate more at the next event!
New for 2022 - All Inclusive Meal Package
The location of NCRS Nebraska LAST BLAST 2022 is on the Lincoln Airport in a private airplane hangar. Due to the location being quite a bit of a drive to any restaurants other than McDonalds or a gas station, the Nebraska chapter has arranged to have all meals at the judging meet right on the judging floor. This makes it easier for our guests to be able to have all meals and drinks right at the event instead of having to drive into town to find a restaurant. To offset the costs of the meals, we have a "meal package" available for you to purchase which includes Friday lunch, Friday night catered banquet, Saturday morning coffee & rolls and world famous Valentino's pizza for Saturday lunch. The cost of the meal package is $40 per person and you will need to register for that as one of your optional purchases when you register thru the NCRS system. If you do not want to eat meals with us, you will need to drive into Lincoln. The closest is McDonalds at the 399 exit, the next is the usual fast food BK, MCD, KFC 5 miles east on Cornhusker highway into Lincoln.
